EA 31, ST. AMANT 10: In Gonzales, the Spartans parlayed a stingy defense and Kyran Irvin’s three rushing touchdowns in the second half before a standing room only crowd. Irvin gained 110 yards and had TD runs of 21, 22 and 6-yards. He failed to complete a pass in 13 attempts and was intercepted twice. Jacquel Jacobs scored on the first play of the game on a 35-yard interception return. St. Amant’s only score came on Hayden Mallory’s 16-yard TD pass to Larson Fontenot.
